Climate Connections

climateconnectionslogo10cmClimate Connections is an exciting partnership project with BPEC, Brighton & Hove City Council and Oxfam GB.

The aim of Climate Connections is to connect stories of people living in Brighton & Hove with people living in other parts of the world, sharing their experiences, challenges and responses to climate change. We want to raise awareness of the impact of climate change world wide, and how
it affects and worsens global poverty.

We connect the stories, from individuals and community groups, who have been forced to respond to extreme weather conditions and consequently have to adapt: changing their lives.

Climate Connections reaches out to and links community groups and individuals. We provide a space for people to find out what to do, and for others publicise what they have already done, in response to climate change.

We have responsibilities: The way we use resources and the way we live our lives.
Our actions can have a positive impact here, and everywhere, on this planet.

an outdoor large scale photographic exhibition illustrating stories of people living in different parts of the world alongside local, Brighton & Hove, residents
an interactive website following the stories of these people, with information on city-wide environmental projects and community initiatives, ways to get involved, links, advice and updates to help you take action
a series of city-wide workshops about practical steps you can take to help tackle climate change, accompanied by a replica of the large scale exhibition

The project is financed by the Department of International Development (DFID).
