Congratulations - we are now a charity

We would like to share our exciting news with you that we now have Charity Status. After a long process of discussion and consideration which has spanned nearly a decade we now join the likes of friends of the Earth and Greenpeace as a registered charity (#1125002). We are both excited about the opportunities that will bring and also the part that you can play in helping us to develop for the future. If you would like to be a part of our future you can become a member and  feed in your views for our development at both the AGm and through email contact. Alternatively if you would like to donate a celebratory amount to see us on our way then please do so.

Live Music Fundraiser for BPEC

The Brighton Peace and Environment Centre has organised an amazing evening of live music.

The three fantastic Brighton bands that will be performing are Pog , LE Band Extraordinaire and Spalien Acecraft.

The fun starts at 7.30pm on Sunday 26th October at Grand Central pub on Surrey Street near Brighton Station.

There won't be an entrance fee but all donations received on the night will go towards projects and running costs at the centre.

Global Xchange - Volunteer Internship report

Global Xchange Volunteer Internship with Brighton Peace and Environment Centre

Global Xchange (GX) is a volunteer exchange programme mainly managed by British council and Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and is funded by the British Airports Authority (BAA) and V, a charity aimed to inspire a million young volunteers.

Hello from Aisha

So much has happened since I joined Brighton Peace and Environment Centre that I feel I have always been amongst you. Before I introduce myself, more importantly I want to say I am committed for BPEC to be a Centre which brings together and therefore strengthens peace and environment groups in Brighton. I believe together we’re strong, divided we’re weak. My other equally important objective is to expand our education programme to more schools, educators and community members to inform and inspire global citizenship.
