Hello again everyone, I hope your festive season was enjoyable.

Charity registration is imminent - we’re just signing the documents and it should be done by the time you read this. As well as being able to claim tax back on donations, this will open up trust funding, as many
only give to registered charities, just to make their lives easier.

BPEC is continuing to get more structure and strategy in place, with a planning day on the 10th February and people attending events on trustee skills.

I would like to ask for YOUR HELP with a couple of things, please and thank you:

~ BPEC Library; a lot of hard work has been done to catalogue (also available online) the books and other items - now we need people to borrow them and learn! Please spread the word, there’s a great selection of books, DVDs and videos.

~ Members are needed; please suggest it to your friends (a great present!).

~ 25th Anniversary this year; please get involved and celebrate.

~ Legacy Campaign; please read the article in this newsletter and speak to Mike Butler if you have any questions.

On a different note, Viva has asked people in East Sussex to boycott places selling foie gras pate, which is not legal to produce in the UK due to the ducks being force-fed.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank BPEC’s various volunteers (including the Management Committee) and staff for all their hard work in carrying forward BPEC’s important work...
