A Glastonbury veteran
Our organisation first went to Glastonbury Festival in 1983 – taken there by Monica Crow, a BPEC founder. In 1986, we ran the first proper stall at the festival as Brighton Peace Centre. The coach service started the following year, with 2 coaches running each way. At our Glastonbury heights in 2000 we went with 80 volunteers, ran 8 coaches each way, a 24-hour cafe and 3 property lock-ups.
Our popular coach direct from Brighton is still one of our major fundraisers.
