BPEC's involvement with the Glastonbury festival

BPEC has been involved with the Glastonbury Festival since the mid-1980s. We raise funds by running property lock-ups and providing transport to and from the the festival. This year we will again be taking volunteers to the festival and running the excellent coach service direct to the festival from Brighton. We are hoping to raise about £8000 this year which will help fund the Centre in its various projects. In 2004, the total funds raised came to £6,580 and in 2005 is was approximately £7,000. Volunteer workers receive admittance to the festival. BPEC's designated camping space in a secure area, with communal catering providing low-cost breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each volunteer works approximately 28 hours on lock-ups and 2-3 hours on camp duties. They should be available on or before the Tuesday of Glastonbury week, and should be willing to stay until the Monday afternoon. undefined: undefinedAll current BPEC volunteers and members are invited to apply, but interest is extremely high and we can only offer about 45 places.
