What is sustainability?

Sustainability means many things to many people. But in its broadest sense, it involves ensuring well-being and quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come, by meeting social and environmental as well as economic needs. This requires that we consider the global impact before carrying out any action, thereby creating a culture of responsibility: "think global, act local".
