Moving Sounds

Moving Sounds is a Lewes-based educational group which holds workshops for young people. It uses drama, music and debate to address a variety of issues, including human rights and sustainable development.

Moving Sounds can design a tailor-made workshop for each school, that relates to the themes and topics being studied. Participants are encouraged to be interactive, spontaneous and creative.

Pupils learn:

  • To think critically and creatively
  • To develop communication skills
  • About commmunity
  • That local actions have global implications
  • To identify opportunities for sustainable development
  • To make chioces and decisions(for example about how we spend money, or how we communicate)
  • To take responsibility (by simple actions such as writing a letter to a government or company)
  • To develop relationships (creating dialogue through email, letters, video etc with communities across the world, sharing a diversity of knowledge and culture)

...and much more.
