Public access computers

Did you know that members can surf the net for free? We have two public access computers available during our opening hours. After reading through and agreeing to our ICT usage policy. Members may use these machines for research, campaigning work and online activism. BPEC can help you to:
  • Setup a web based email account
  • Setup an egroup
  • Search the web for resources

technical details

The computers are running Suse Linux 9.1 (with KDE) and using the Opera web browser. We regret that we can only support web surfing (using the browser), and no other applications. We are using Linux as it extends the life of these machines.
