The Winter Salad Box

This course is ideal for people with small growing spaces wanting to grow quick seasonal salad crops in pots and containers.

Course capacity: 10 places (adults only please)

What the course covers:

salad-boxThis short course will focus on growing the best selection of winter salad crops in a small space. There will be lots of information on easy growing techniques, plant care and extending your harvest. By the end of the course you will be able to choose a wide variety of salad leaves, lettuces, herbs and edible flower varieties to suit growing in the colder months and will take home your own freshly sown winter salad box.

What you will need on the day: This course will take place indoors. Please bring an easy to carry small container, crate or pot for sowing. Seeds and compost will be provided.

About the trainer: Bea Burke is a gardening consultant and horticulture tutor with an extensive background in growing both ornamental and edible crops. She has created productive gardens from larger to smaller scale focusing on beautiful, tasty and organically grown vegetables, herbs and flowers all year round.

Course location: Phoenix Centre, 10-14 Waterloo Place, Brighton BN2 9NB (Find on a map.) This venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
