BPEC’s education team has been working with Judy Hawker, Brighton & Hove Primary Languages Consultant, following the successful teacher’s conference in March 2009, which examined global dimension in relation to language learning.

We are thrilled to announce that colourful and creative resources for teaching Spanish while learning about Mexico are available for all Brighton & Hove teachers.
Access is via the City Council's Virtual Learning Environment “Peer 2 Pier”.

In light of this success, the education team are developing resources and schemes of work for teaching French while learning about Morocco. This project is in development in five local primary schools and their feeder secondary schools. This will support the transition of languages from Year 6 to 7.
