BPEC’s school team has worked closely with lecturers and students from the BA in Primary Education at the University of Brighton to incorporate international education and global citizenship in their courses and to explore the benefits these topics can make to the primary school curriculum.

The team worked to set up and take part in the teaching of a variety of optional course modules for trainee teachers at the University. These modules inform trainee teachers of the importance in challenging assumptions about people and places within the classroom environment on various levels. The modules include topics such as cross-curricular learning, international education and cultural diversity within schools.
