The Spring term meeting of the Harvest Schools network will focus on low maintenance crops for school gardens. The workshop will be led by the knowledgeable Stephan Gehrels and will cover suitable food plants for schools with a focus around fruit trees and shrubs and low maintenance annuals (e.g. potatoes, pumpkins). We will also talk about ideal planting spaces and conditions, the logistics of running school gardens, good materials for raised beds, and compost if time allows.

There will be time for networking too.
